What is Cookshop?
Cookshop.biz is an online platform that lets you browse and order food from the best restaurants in Monrovia via your mobile phone or computer, and have it delivered straight to your door.

Where can I use Cookshop?
Cookshop currently serves the following areas in Liberia: Airfield, Capitol Hill, Central Monrovia, Clara Town, Congo Town, Freeport, Mamba Point, Matadi, Old Road, Sinkor, and Vai Town. We are updating our restaurant network each week, so if we're missing something, suggest a restaurant.

How does it work?
1. You browse our menu, select your food and place your order.
2. We process your order, contacting the vendor/restaurant and updating you on your order status.
3. If you order for Delivery, we bring your food right to your doorstep! If you order for Pickup, we alert you when your food is ready and waiting.
4. You pay for your order online or with cash, and get your reciept. Bon Apetit!

How much does it cost?
Orders from restaurants that offer free delivery, and which cost more than the minimum value set by the restaurant, have no charge, otherwise a fee of USD 3 is charged per restaurant. All orders that cost less than the minimum value set by the restaurant are charged a USD 3 delivery fee. The standard minimum value which makes an order eligible for free delivery is USD 5, however some restaurants may increase this minimum at their discretion. There is a 7.5% processing fee applied to credit/debit card, mobile money, PayPal and Bitcoin transactions. Also please note that your card issuer may charge you additional fees.

Are taxes included?
Goods and services tax (GST) are included at the discretion of the vendors, so some payments may include GST while others may not. The total payment cost including the GST is always indicated on the 'review order' page.

Can I use my credit card to order online?
Cookshop accepts Visa and MasterCard/EuroCard online credit/debit card payments using United Bank for Africa's (UBA) U-Collect payment gateway. To pay with your card, just select "Visa or MasterCard" from the "Payment Method" drop down on the "Checkout" page. To avoid inconvenience please alert your credit/debit card issuer that you are using your card in Liberia, West Africa. There is a 7.5% processing fee applied to credit/debit card transactions. Also please note that your card issuer may charge you additional fees.

Cookshop does not collect or store sensitive financial information such as your credit/debit card account number. We understand that security is a major concern, so we've gone to great lengths to make certain that UBA U-Collect has the proper security standards and compliance in place including PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance, TLS/SSL (Transport Layer Security / Secure Sockets Layer) encryption, three-digit CVV2 (Card Verification Value), and 3-D Secure such as Verified by VISA and MasterCard SecureCode to authenticate transactions.

This marks the first time that online payments are being processed by a local merchant bank in Liberia, and is an important milestone for e-commerce in the country. To ensure your transaction goes as smoothly as possible:

1) Please let your card issuer know that you are making ONLINE payments in Liberia. Your card issuer may find the payment request from a Liberian IP address to be unusual, and decline the transaction.

2) Your browser will be redirected to the U-Collect payment gateway. Please be patient and allow the pages to load completely as you go through the process. Loading pages may take up to 20 seconds.

Can I use Lonestar Cell MTN Mobile Money to order online?
To make a payment using Lonestar Cell MTN Mobile Money, follow the instructions below after submitting your order:

• Dial *156# and press the call/ok button
• Select 2 for Pay Bill
• Select 4 for Cookshop.biz
• Enter your Reference Code (5 digit from Cookshop website)
• Enter Currency (LRD or USD)
• Enter Amount
• Enter Mobile Money PIN

What happens after I submit my order?
Your order is sent electronically to you and the restaurant the instant you click "Send Order Now!". One of our Call Center Agents will then call the restaurant to confirm that they received and can fulfill the order. Our Call Center Agent will also call you if your order needs to be modified. For pickup orders, once the order is accepted by the restaurant, you can go at your leisure to pick up and pay for your order. For delivery orders, once the order is accepted by the restaurant, our Delivery Agents are then dispatched to pickup the order and deliver it straight to your doorstep.

Can I change or cancel my order after I place it?
You can if you placed your order in the last five minutes. Call us at 0778112010 or 0881887610. But fair warning - if the restaurant has already started working on your order, they may not be able to change it. The sooner you can let us know, the better off you'll be.

How do I know that the restaurant received my order?
Once you click on "Send Order Now!", you will see the Cookshop Thank You page. You can rest assured that your order has been sent electronically to the restaurant. Our Call Center Agents will then also call the restaurant to ensure that your order can be fulfilled.

What should I do if my food arrives and my order is incorrect?
If you received delivery and there appears to be a problem with your order, please contact the restaurant directly for an immediate resolution. The restaurant's phone number is provided with your email confirmation and on the receipt provided with your meal. Cookshop Call Center Agents are always standing by to help as well. Is there a minimum to order?
There is no minimum order for delivery or pickup.

Should I give a tip for delivery?
Tipping is not mandatory, but is always appreciated. Tips added on our checkout page are shared equally among all Cookshop employees. Therefore we encourage you to add a tip on our checkout page, instead of tipping our delivery agent directly. It is customary to tip anywhere between 10%-20% of the total cost of an order.

I forgot my username/password, what do I do?
Your username is generally the email address that you first registered with. To reset your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link. You will need to enter your registered email address and then you will receive an email from Cookshop that allows you to reset your password.

Can I signup or login with my social media account?
You can signup to use Cookshop with your social media account (Facebook, Google and Twitter), allowing you to esaliy login to Cookshop using your social media credentials. If you already have a Cookshop user account, you can connect to your social media accounts at any time via your profile page. If you have a Cookshop user account balance, your funds will not be connected to your social media account, and will continue to be protected by your PIN number.

Why do I no longer receive a call to confirm my order?
When we initially launched we designed our system to meet the unique challenges of our market. Because we were the first online on-demand business in Liberia, and all of our transactions were cash-based, we included a confirmation step in our order process. This step helped us to confirm the veracity of the transaction, and also reassured users that their orders were being processed. As our orders have grown in volume and Cookshop has become a trusted brand, the need for the confirmation step greatly reduced for us and those who use our service. Many users lamented the need for the confirmation step, and we listened. As of November 30th, 2017, Cookshop agents no longer call users to confirm orders, however users may still receive a call if an order needs to be modified or canceled.
